First Event of the Academic School Year Draws Over 200 Guests

FULLERTON, CA, August 31, 2017 – California State University, Fullerton’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) hosted “Launch Your Career: PRSSA 101” on Aug. 30, 2017 to kick off the fall semester at the Alumni House. The event was sponsored by Communications InterClub Council (CICC) and was catered by StoneFire Grill.

“PRSSA’s new executive board has been working tirelessly over the summer for our first event,” said Vice President of Events Arianna Ford. “We are excited to serve our year-long positions while celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Robert E. Rayfield Chapter.”

Attendees learned about the benefits of a PRSSA membership, such as career tours, agency boot camps, exclusive internships, and speaker panels planned throughout the semester. As part of the 50th anniversary celebration, CSUF and PRSSA gear were raffled away during the event, and students who signed up for the yearly membership will receive 100 complimentary business cards.
