Titan Public Relations (TPR) offers PRSSA members at Cal State Fullerton the unique opportunity to gain professional experience working with real-world clients. As a full-service, student-run agency affiliated with PRSSA National, TPR helps members build practical skills in social media and brand management, outreach campaigns, media relations and more!
How Titan Public Relations Operates
Each academic semester, TPR works with four or five businesses to give its members the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across different industries. Students interested in joining the agency complete an application and interview process before being assigned to client teams and specific roles. Members meet weekly on Tuesdays to collaborate with their teams, communicate with clients and develop professional public relations materials tailored to each business’ goals.
TPR collaborated with three clients in the Fall 2025 semester:
- Guan’s Fitness Solution
- #ForYouPath
- SPhotos4You
In addition to client teams, a team of TPR members managed the agency’s social media presence.

Gaining Real-World Experience
For many members, TPR is the first step in applying classroom theory to real client work, directly preparing them for internships and professional roles.
“I feel like this is a trial of what you’re going to get out there in the real world,” said Angel Vargas, an account coordinator for SPhotos4You. “We’ve done all this work in class but then you forget about it, but this ties everything all in together.”
Members of TPR also emphasize the importance of building a strong skill set that prepares them for future job opportunities. Through their experience, students strengthen skills such as teamwork, professional communication, social media analytics and creative software tools, including Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud.

“TPR has helped me a lot with learning more about the PR industry”, said Ariel Martinez, account executive for the TPR account. “I think getting the full hands-on experience, working with different clients and seeing things for how they actually are, rather than just the online version [of clients’ social media pages] has definitely prepared me.”
Leadership and Team Collaboration
Beyond skill development, TPR offers members opportunities to step into leadership roles. Each client team is led by an account executive, who oversees project management, guides team members and manages client relationships.
“I have to know how to lead first so that I can motivate my team and deal with the different challenges, which is definitely something that the hands-on experience is giving me,” said Moe Myint Kyal Sin, an account executive for Guan’s Fitness Solution.
Leadership and teamwork are at the core of TPR. The agency fosters an environment where peers can work closely together, learn from one another and grow collectively.
A Word from the Directors
All teams and clients are supervised by TPR’s executive directors, Varshita Selvarajan Uma and Rigo Nava. They ensure that the agency and all of its members are supported every step of the way.
“A client project I am proud of from this semester is Guan’s Fitness Solutions”, said Varshitha. “All members of the team worked together very cohesively to provide their client with a full branding kit, website, social media and resources, and they are very proactive during meetings.”

In addition to overseeing agency operations, Varshitha and Rigo focus on supporting members’ professional growth outside of client work.
“[Varshitha] and I have been trying to sprinkle in workshops to help students grow professionally, like a LinkedIn workshop,” said Rigo.
Looking Ahead
Through hands-on client work, leadership opportunities and meaningful collaboration, TPR gives students a real glimpse into what their future careers could look like. The agency creates a space where members can build skills, gain confidence and learn alongside their peers, while working on impactful projects.
