WHY is social and cultural awareness important?

Making an intentional effort to embrace and understand the unique identities and ideas that exist in the world we live in is what social impact and belonging mean to me. Empathy is one of the most powerful abilities we hold, allowing us to process the insights and values people hold to provide support and connection. Practicing open communication and societal awareness is the foundation for building an equitable and informed future that validates the identities and histories of all.
